VP vs VP-YT: a guide to the catalogue range
Compare VP dosing options with VP-YT integrated weighing, then check bag dimensions, speed conditions and the equipment covered by each starting price.
Two ranges to compare
The VP range has three vertical form fill seal machines: VP320, VP420 and VP520. The VP-YT range has two integrated multihead weighing and bagging models: VP320-YT and VP420-YT. Start with your product, target fill weight and bag format when discussing either range.
This comparison covers those five catalogue models. The continuous high-speed VP-420H and VP-520H are listed separately.
VP: choose the dosing arrangement
The VP catalogue lists four optional dosing systems: a platform with a multihead weigher, a volumetric cup filler, an auger filler for powders, and a linear weigher. The equipment photographs are configuration references; the dosing arrangement is selected for each project.
Film width ranges are 90-320 mm for VP320, 150-420 mm for VP420 and 200-520 mm for VP520. Each model also has its own bag length and width limits. VP320 is priced as a bare machine; VP420 and VP520 starting prices cover the main machine only. Confirm the dosing and external equipment separately in your quotation.
VP-YT: integrated multihead weighing
The VP320-YT specification lists 10 or 12 weigher heads, a hopper volume of 0.8 L and a weighing range of 5-300 g. VP420-YT lists 14 heads, a hopper volume of 0.8 L and a weighing range of 10-1000 g. Configuration depends on the application.
Check the full model name when comparing bag dimensions. For example, VP420 has a listed bag width of 90-200 mm, while VP420-YT lists 50-200 mm. Keep these values separate when preparing an enquiry.
Starting prices for VP320-YT and VP420-YT include integrated weighing. Ask for any external feeding and supporting equipment to be identified in the project quotation.
Read the speed conditions
The catalogue speed range is 20-90 bags/min for the three VP models and 20-80 bags/min for the two VP-YT models. Actual output depends on the product, fill weight, bag size and film. Share those details with your required output so the proposed operating conditions can be confirmed for your application.
Prepare the next discussion
Both catalogue pages show pillow bags and chain bags. Include target bag dimensions and fill weight with your product details. For VP layout planning, system space depends on the selected dosing equipment. Confirm the complete configuration, including any auxiliary equipment, and its space requirements before choosing a model.
